Chapter Twenty-One is the 21st chapter of the Kaiju No. 8 manga series.
Summary[]
Sitting on defeated kaijus, Kikoru realizes that her doubt to trust Kafka with being able to keep his kaiju form a secret. Despite this, she is still grateful when seeing him. Kafka apologizes for having made her worry but Kikoru acts as if she wasn’t, however, she catches him before he can fall to the ground. Kafka then apologizes again for letting the kaiju who had defeated her escape, sheepishly, Kikoru assures that she’ll be able to kill him next time anyway. Kafka prepares to leave to make sure Iharu and Leno are fine but Kikoru assures him that the defense force was more resilient than he thought.
Not far away, Mina remarks that it is unusual for Soshiro to be feeling down and then asks him about kaiju no. 8’s strength. After a sarcastic attempt to take a photo of Soshiro, he reveals that the kaiju had the strength of a daikaiju and Soshiro tells her of his remarks that he had humanoid features in his comportment. However, Mina vows to exterminate all monsters no matter who they are, which reminds Soshiro of the fact. Ikaruga then informs Soshiro of Kaiju No. 9’s transformations in a human. Sometime later, some monster sweepers are watching the news and Soshiro comes to visit them.
