Kanji Nagamine (長 (なが) 嶺 (みね) カンジ, Nagamine Kanji) was one of the victims of Kaiju No. 9 and its second disguise.

Appearance

Kanji was a tall young man with short black hair, big eyes and a square jaw.

He wore a simple white shirt and glasses.

Personality

Kanji seemed to be a rather impatient man.

Plot

Sagamihara Subjugation Operation Arc

At some point, as he was driving, he came across a strange man standing in the middle of the road. As he approached the man, Kanji observed as the man turned into a kaiju and proceeded to kill and consume him. Then the kaiju proceeded to take his appearance and identity as his new disguise while keeping a low profile.

Etymology

• Kanji's surname Nagamine contains the kanji for "long, chief, boss" (長, naga) and "peak, summit" (嶺, mine).

• Kanji used to live alone.
