The Second Division (第2部隊, Dai Ni-butai) is one of the Eastern Divisions in the Defense Force, located in Kanazawa Base.[1]

- Numbers Weapon 4 (formerly): Hikari's weapon, marked LC-0039, was considered one of the strongest weapons of the Defense Force, was a unique combat suit and a long spear-like weapon.[2]
History[]
Ten years ago, the Second Division and its then-Captain Hikari Shinomiya took on Kaiju No. 6 in Odawara. With the help of the First Division, No. 6 was ultimately killed but this brought to the death of multiple officers, including Captain Shinomiya herself.[3]

Kaiju No. 8 Captured Arc[]
After the attack at Tachikawa Base,[4] Aoi Kaguragi and Haruichi Izumo of the Third Division were transferred to the Second.[5]
Kaiju Weapon Arc[]
After Director General Isao Shinomiya's death at the hands of Kaiju No. 9, the Second Division payed homage to him during the funeral.[1]
The Compatible User Arc[]
The Second Division took part in the Anti-No. 9 Eastern Divisional Conference to decide how to take out Kaiju No. 9.[6]
