Tae Nakanoshima (
Appearance[]
Tae is a tall young woman with an athletic slender physique. She has long pink hair styled in a short messy ponytail and with two long tufts on the side of her head. She has big pink eyes with small pointy eyebrows and a pointy nose.
On duty, Tae wears the usual uniform worn by Defense Force officers.
Personality[]
Tae seems to be some kind of "man-eater", praising the newbies in the platoon not only for their fighting ability but also for their looks.[3][1]
Tae seems to have a rivarly with First Division Platoon Leader Rin Shinonome.[4]
Plot[]
Sagamihara Neutralization Operation at Daybreak Arc[]
During the Sagamihara Subjugation Operation, Tae led her platoon, counting Aoi Kaguragi and Haruichi Izumo, in battle.[2] During the fight, she praised Aoi and Haruichi, both for their ability and looks.[3] She then offered them to rest as the Yoju arrived from the Honju's corpse, with both of them refusing.[5]
Raid on Tachikawa Base Arc[]
Initially off-duty, Tae and her platoon came back to aid Ikaruga and protected Tachikawa Base during the raid of the Wyvern-type kaiju.[6]
When Kafka Hibino manifested his kaiju form to save his comrades,[7] Tae later prepared the security troop to have him transferred to the Ariake Maritime Base.[8]
The Compatible User Arc[]
In occasion of the Anti-No. 9 Eastern Divisional Conference, Tae and the rest of the Third Division arrived at the Ariake Maritime Base, where they bickered with the First Division. There, Tae exchanged looks with Rin Shinonome.[4]
Cataclysms Arc[]
Tae and the rest of the Third Division took action in Tachikawa during the No. 9-induced cataclysms.[9]

Overall Abilities: As a Platoon Leader, Tae is inferred to be a top-notch Officer of the Defense Force, able to take on multiple kaiju and guide her men in battle with determination.

- The surname Nakanoshima contains the kanji for "middle" (中 , naka), "of" (之 , no) and "island" (島, shima).
- Her surname literally means "middle of the island".
